The picnic boat is equipped with an outboard motor and comes with fuel. Life jackets are provided.
There is room for 7 people, and the boats sail at a maximum of 5 knots.
We also offer funeral sailings with the scattering of ashes from our picnic boats. Contact us for further information about this option.
What if, as you glide across the water, you could hear voices from the past—fisher folk, queens, and the hidden tales that shaped this place? “The Voice of the Fjord” is an immersive audio-theatre experience, and Karrebæk Fjord is its stage.
Along the route you’ll meet a fisherman whose life is symbiotically tied to the fjord, a queen linked to a dramatic battle, star-crossed harvest workers on Lindholm, and perhaps a painter you already know who found his home in Karrebæksminde. Each one left an indelible mark on the region—and all are bound together by the fjord across time and space. You may even rediscover your own connection to the water.
The journey lasts 2½ hours and is available in both Danish and English.
Rent a picnic boat for up to seven people. It comes with headphones and a tablet pre-loaded with the audio stories and sailing route—just press “Start,” and the tales begin automatically as you set off. Prefer not to steer? A skipper from Marine Event can join you on board.
Want an intimate maritime experience? Then try our sauna barrel on the water, with space for up to 5 people. We take care of the heating, so you can simply relax and enjoy the panoramic view of the water from inside the sauna. Experience cozy comfort at its best.
